Born and raised on Mt Scott, just down the road from Willamette National Cemetery. My dad taught me at a young age about the sacrifices of our Veterans and that they must be honored and respected. Many of my family members are veterans. In 2014 my family adopted our first Veteran family for Christmas. And so it began..

LET'S MAKE THIS BIGGER!
In 2018 I decided I wanted to do something bigger for our local Veterans. I wanted to hold a special event to honor them. I had no idea how to go about doing such a thing so I reached out to Robie Vandiver, a Vietnam Combat Veteran, with a HUGE involvment in our Veteran Community. He was my guy to make this a reality!

When Tery asked, "Do you want to blow this up into something HUGE?" Laura didn’t hesitate—the answer was YES!! Tery took the lead, incorporating the organization and securing its official non-profit status. Now, these talented women are fired up and ready to expand their programs for local Veterans.
